  • Rachel Alexander did the sport no favors. Because of Kentucky Derby Rules (which also apply to the Preakness and Belmont) she carried 5 pound less than the colts and geldings thus giving her a 5 length advantage out of the gate. What horse racing needs is a real Triple Crown Winner.

  • Obviously the owners and trainers have no clue what a huge boost a Triple Crown Winner would do for horse racing. Meanwhile, they themselves have been talking about what a Triple Crown Winner would do for the sport for years. I guess they don't hear themselves talk or believe in it.
